Wisdom & Serenity Stack
Wisdom & Serenity Stack
Immerse yourself into soft still sky-blue waters and cleansing calm energy as you say yes to all that Turquoise has to bring to the table. This beautiful blue stone simmers with all the shades of the ocean, connecting to the throat chakra so you can speak your truth, and ensuring that your inner critic stays quietened.
With natural shades reminiscent of the milky way, this sacred stone is dipped in shades of sacred blue-green to bring an extra layer of spiritual cleansing. Blue, the color that soothes the soul, serves as a reminder of the flowing water, the purifying energy of the earth, and the invigorating force from deep within. Named from the old French term for Turkish, possibly harkening to its rich Persian history, the blue Turquoise stone epitomizes the cleansing of negative energy and the beckoning of good fortune.
This stone comes from as far as the winter corners of Nova Scotia to the arid dunes of Namibia, and it brings with it a subtle humming vibration. Turquoise of a greener hue is also found in the mountainous lands of Tibet. It’s been discovered in the wide and open Mojave Desert in California, and in other areas of the USA where Apache mines invited the watery stone to flow out of the earth and into people’s hands.
Turquoise, an ancient healing stone, boasts a history dating back to 6000 BC in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. The ancient Egyptians revered it, burying their dead with Turquoise, and in Iran and other Persian shores, the stone held immense spiritual value. Among the Aztecs in Mexico, Turquoise was cherished, finding its place in the crafting of intricate masks. In the contemporary world, Turquoise is synonymous with Native American culture, cherished by the Navajo and Zuni people who craft exquisite amulets, talismans, pendants, rings, bracelets, and belt buckles.
Healing Properties of Turquoise
This versatile stone is said to have a calming and balancing effect on emotions, promoting communication, healing, inner peace and tranquility. Turquoise is also believed to enhance intuition, making it beneficial for those seeking clarity and self-expression. Turquoise is also said to be a powerful protection stone, perfect for warding off negative energy.
Proper Care of Turquoise
Turquoise is a hydrous compound of copper and aluminum, so it loses color when it loses water. To keep your turquoise from becoming dehydrated, it is a good idea to water it, as you would your houseplants with pure saline water periodically to revive or maintain color. Turquoise is porous, so chemicals can damage it. Use only pure water and a soft cloth to wipe it clean, and you can clean your turquoise frequently without causing damage. The natural oil of your skin is good for turquoise, and it will naturally polish it when you wear it.
Don't store turquoise with harder gemstones or other materials that might rub against it and cause damage. Turquoise can fade in sunlight, excessive sweat, chlorine bleach and dishwater.
