Turquoise

An opaque sea foam, this gemstone dissolves apathy, softening the heart and balancing extreme mood fluctuations. Turquoise is a beautiful blue-green crystal wrapped in dark webbing.

It is often called the “stone of the sky” due to its connection to the heavens and its soothing properties. Its name derives from the French expression “pierre tourques” or “Turkish stone,” as it was originally brought to Europe from Turkey.

Turquoise is linked to the throat and third eye chakras. These chakras are associated with communication, intuition, and spiritual awareness. When these chakras are balanced, we feel more in tune with our inner voice, our intuition, and our connection to the divine.

Turquoise is found in arid regions of the world such as the American southwest, Iran, China, and Tibet. In ancient times, turquoise was highly valued for its ability to promote spiritual awareness and enhance communication. It was also used for its ability to alleviate physical ailments such as respiratory issues, headaches, and joint pain while promoting healthy circulation and supporting the immune system.

Today, turquoise is still used for these purposes, as well as for promoting creativity and self-expression. Its tranquil energy balances the spirit, encouraging trust and compassion.

When you wear turquoise, you may feel a sense of calm, balance, and spiritual awareness, connecting you with the energy of the sky and creating a sense of peace and tranquility.
